  • Managing Partner, HBSS France
Experience
  • Prior to joining HBSS France, Fayrouze was the founding partner of Dazi Avocats, a France-based independent law firm dedicated to competition law and European Union regulatory law, with a focus on the digital sector.
  • For over 15 years, Fayrouze has assisted and represented a wide variety of companies, and over the past eight years, has led major battles on behalf of online content and service publishers. On behalf of publishers, media agencies and the French press, she has fought against the excessive restrictions imposed by Apple in its App Store and is currently leading a massive collective damage claim against Alphabet, Google’s parent company. She has previously fought against the corporation in a neighboring rights case for press publishers. In addition, Fayrouze advises publishers in their complex contractual negotiations and in litigation, primarily with digital platforms.
  • Since the beginning of Dazi Avocats, Fayrouze was deeply involved in the EU digital regulation landscape set by the DMA and has undertaken a significant amount of work on its implementation with national and European authorities, as well as on unfair commercial practices committed by Big Tech companies.
  • Fayrouze has been a non-governmental advisor to the International Competition Network, by appointment of the French Competition Authority since 2019, and is a qualified member of the Artistic and Literary Property High Council (CSPLA) by appointment of the French minister of culture since 2023.
  • She is a regular contributor of competition law reviews and tech and digital medias, as well as a featured speaker at national and international conferences.
